Attack in Relation to Defence
Definition
Attack and defence are logical correlates — neither is intelligible without the other. The attack exists to overcome the defence; the defence exists to repulse the attack. Their relation is not symmetrical: the defence holds the stronger form, the attack holds the stronger will.
