Defense Information Systems Agency
DISA is the Department of Defense’s information technology and communications utility. It builds, operates, and defends the Department of Defense Information Network, supplies enterprise services and cloud contracts to the whole Department, and runs the strategic communications that connect the President and the Secretary of Defense to deployed forces.

Mission
Provides IT and communications support to the President, SecDef, and warfighters. Operates DoDIN.
DISA is a Defense Agency established by the Secretary of Defense under 10 U.S.C. § 191 and supervised by an Office of the Secretary of Defense official under 10 U.S.C. § 192, and it is the first of the four agencies Congress named as combat support agencies at 10 U.S.C. § 193(f), a status that subjects its responsiveness and readiness to Chairman review at least every two years.
