PEO Enterprise

PEO Enterprise is the SOF_AT_L program executive office for special operations enterprise information technology. It owns the networks, business systems, and IT infrastructure that USSOCOM and its component commands run on, as distinct from the tactical communications carried into the field.

No Title 10 section establishes this office by name. USSOCOM program executive offices sit under the command acquisition executive that 10 U.S.C. § 167(e)(4)(C) requires on the commander’s staff, exercising the acquisition responsibility and the head of agency authority Congress gave the commander at 10 U.S.C. § 167(e)(4)(A) and (B), with the portfolio acquisition executive role defined at 10 U.S.C. § 1732. That buying authority exists at no other combatant command, a distinction mapped at Title_10_Structure.
