PEO ISR SOF

PEO ISR and SOF is the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center program executive office for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance aircraft and Air Force special operations aviation. It manages the manned and unmanned collection fleet along with the special operations aircraft the Air Force fields, making it the service-side counterpart to the SOF-peculiar programs run inside USSOCOM.

Department of the Air Force program executive offices are designated by the Air Force Acquisition Executive, the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics at 10 U.S.C. § 9016(b)(4), acting under the Secretary of the Air Force’s authority to organize the department at 10 U.S.C. § 9013(b)(2), and the portfolio acquisition executive role such an office performs is defined at 10 U.S.C. § 1732, as explained at Title_10_Structure.
