PEO SOF Warrior

PEO SOF Warrior equips the individual operator. Under SOF_AT_L, it runs the ground portfolio: weapons and ammunition, visual augmentation and night vision, tactical combat equipment, and ground mobility vehicles. It is the office behind most of what a special operations soldier wears, carries, and shoots.

No Title 10 section establishes this office by name. USSOCOM program executive offices sit under the command acquisition executive that 10 U.S.C. § 167(e)(4)(C) requires on the commander’s staff, exercising the acquisition responsibility and the head of agency authority Congress gave the commander at 10 U.S.C. § 167(e)(4)(A) and (B), with the portfolio acquisition executive role defined at 10 U.S.C. § 1732. That buying authority exists at no other combatant command, a distinction mapped at Title_10_Structure.
